seems to me for a purchase such as this I would go to a local dealer and personally view their inventory.... I don't really like the looks of that coin, but, I may if I saw it in person....

  • I think it is a fairly nice, original looking coin. I would not turn my nose up at owning it. image

It's OK. Does look original, though. I think a VF one would be just the right mix of circulated and nicely original.

I think you can do better. A little too dark and uneven for my tastes.

  • I think it is a decent looking, original coin. I think if you are looking for a circulated, original SLQ, I would look for a keydate. A little while back I was searching through Yahoo auctions and found someone selling a set of 5 circulated SLQ and I won it for for $17. When I received the coins one of them were a 27-S. It was worn pretty good maybe a Fine but the date and mint mark were clearly visible. I might still have a pic somewhere.

You can do better. It looks original, but the toning is spotchy and mottled. When they are proportionally toned they are a wonder to behold.
