Photo of Semi-Monster Toned Franklin
Although this isn't quite on the same level with some of the amazing toned monsters that have recently been posted, it's still a pretty neat coin. Keep the photos coming, I love seeing the amazing toned coins that some of the board members have amassed in their personal collections. It really helps give the rest of us some perspective on what a truly monster toned coin is. This particular coin is a 57-D PCGS MS-66 FBL. Here's quick a question for the experienced Franklin collectors; Of the 57 and 58 mint set Franklins, which date is most often seen with color like this? I'd love to pick up a few more like this one, but for some reason I have this feeling that they are going to become harder and harder to find, as the expression "strong hands" seems like an incredible understatement when describing the feelings that most toned collectors have with regards to their best pieces.

I've seen a lot of 58P, and 57D with nice color as well. My sets emphasis is toned, and I've looked at a lot of Franklins over the years. My dad loved toned franklins as well, and had lots of 57D, 58, and 58D
color pieces.
Love those Franklins with COLOR.
