Blah.. even though I had a chance to meet a few of the Angels players when they were in the minors, I all for the Giants. Bonds needs a ring. Plus I'm a Kenny Lofton fan (even though I never received my card back signed from him during his Astros years.. rookie).
I don't understand all this sudden "win one for Barry" sentiment. The guys's a jerk and a playoff choker for 15 years, and suddenly everyone likes him. I hope he falls flat on his face.

Hehe, I never met Bonds, so I don't know if he is a jerk or not. He is a jerk toward the media, but I'm not the media. And he is definately not choking this year in the playoffs. Has 7 HRs and is 3 for 4, 2 doubles, 1 single, 1 walk, 2 runs tonight.
Just seems like anytime a star veteran gets deep in the playoffs, we all root for them to get a ring, nevermind the fact that he's been despised by his teammates and the media for years.

I've always been a fan of Bonds. Got my autographed baseball for $47 back in '96 (glad I did with the prices now). I could care less what he does off the field. I'm not looking for a role model. So I guess I suppose to side with his teammates and the media, right? I think not.
I'm a huge Kenny Loften fan. Believe it or not, he was a member of the U of A Wildcat basketball team during the 88' season when the U of A reached the Final 4 vs. Danny Manning's Kansas Jayhawks. Kenny, Sean Elliot, Steve Kerr, Judd Beushler, Matt Muelback (excuse the spelling ) to name a few were part of that great 88' squad.
Looking for former University of Arizona NBA RC's in PSA or BGS 9's/GEM MINT grades. Die hard University of Arizona and Bay Area Sports fan.
