They caught the sniper!

Comments

  • sniperS

I hope they put their execution on ppv.
  • Well, however they do it, as long as they are killed.

  • AFAIK.. they have no idea if this suspect is the sniper in question.

  • I think it would be better to punish them by letting them rot in prison for like 40-50 years or however long it is they live. These people are willing to die, so dont give them what they want. Make them suffer by sitting in a tiny cell for 40-50 years or whatever. I have no problem if they are killed, but I'd rather see the other thing happen.

  • ATF says seized rifle was murder weapon...CNN
  • I believe in making people sit in a pitch black cell for the rest of their life. Now that would suck balls, especially the left one. These guys deserve to suffer. They found a hole drilled into the back of their car where they believe they shot out of. That is just sick!

  • Zimmy I don't know how old you are, but ask just about anyone who pays income tax and they will tell you if guilty the sniper(s) should get the dealth penalty.

The last thing I want my hard earned tax money spent on is the sniper(s) rotting in jail for the next 50 years.

  • it's so strange what the snipers did... there was no political or other link to their killings... it will be interesting to see what comes out at trial about the motives and causes of the snipers.

  • I hate to think that the press and the trial is going to give them a podium for whatever sick views and motivations they have.
  • Um UofAWildcatfan, if you are so concerned about your pocketbook, then you would actually want them jailed for the rest of their life. It has been shown that it actually costs more to have them put to death than it is to keep them alive. Main reason is there are so many appeals. Just appeal after appeal after appeal and it eats up the taxpayers money really quick.

  • You may not believe me, but we studied that last year in my Criminal Law class in college. It is an amazing stat, but it is true. Of course its not always the case, but the odds are that it does cost more to have them put to death.

  • Zimmy understand that school is a matter of opinion. I can't tell you how many liberal teachers I've had during my college career that are against the death penalty and say what ever it takes to convince naive under-grads that the death penalty is not the way. Don't believe in the hype.

  • UofAWildcat makes a very good point. Before citing a 'fact,' consider the source, and their motivations or biases.
  • Ok fine, then why the heck do we go to school? If you want to say that all the facts that teachers bring up are lies, then why the heck even go? I guess its just a waste of everyones time. And BTW: this was not their opinion, this was fact. Not to mention my school is in what is probably the most conservative area in the state so I wouldnt be surprised if most of these teachers are conservatives (I dont know of course, but I wouldnt dought it)

  • College professors (like news people) vote at a clip of about 90% liberal. It doesn't mean school is a waste, it means you take in information, consider the source, and do your own research as well. Then make an informed decision. If you're at school just to take in every word your teachers say, and believe it without question, then, yeah, I don't know why you would go to school.

I never said all facts teachers bring up are lies. I simply said that in any situation, the number one rule of education is CONSIDER THE SOURCE. If an enviromentalist, whose job and further research grants depend on having problems to study, tells you we have a major environmental crisis, wouldn't you think to be even the least bit skeptical?
