No, they are not stupid, the guy has no DEFENSE!!!! Mashburn is their SF and Nailon wouldn't get hardly any playing time this year anyways. You already have George Lynch, Stacey Augmon that will play that position. Nailon at PF doesn't fit either with P.J. Brown, Elden Campbell, Jamaal Magloire, Tractor, and Jerome Moiso (who was impressive in Preseason). Keeping Haston who didn't really show much in his limited time last year, means either the owners want diversity or they see promise in the young star. My guess is the owners want white boys on the team, even if they aren't great. I remember 2 years ago when the hornets didn't have a single white player. Those were the days!!! Nailon will be picked up by another team.

He could be a good player off the bench for several teams, but he still needs to work on his total game. Some of the shots he throws up are terrible. Don't get me wrong, the guy can score from time to time, but he still doesn't deserve a starting position on any contending team. Maybe the bulls will take him.

Actually everybody has been ranting and raving about kirk haston. They are saying how impressive he has looked and he has had the best camp of anybody on the team

Lee Nailon looked great filling in for Mash last season.Wouldn't be surprised if the Knicks pick him up w/their injury exception

They have been high on Moiso in the preseason also, so that is probably why Nailon was released. They guy did fill in for Mash and help keep the team hanging around .500, but Nailon is no Mashburn. I do wish him good luck wherever he may end up playing. I still think that the owners demanded White players on the team, because going from no white players to gaining 3 in one year is a big change.
