oh and the cheaper route is probably goin with the PS2 if u want DVD, b/c auto dvd players are not too cheap. plus that way u also have the option of the video games. at least thats what i plan on doing this coming spring

<< <i>yes it should have the hookups coming out the back of the LCD screen u purchase. before you buy it make sure to research the product and ask whoever u are buyin it from any questions you may have.

they usually have AV Cable plugs in the back of them. I was just looking into the DVD players. Debating on getting a PS2 or a region free DVD player. they have the portable region free DVD players for like $68 on Ebay. I order movies fromt he UK from time to time because they are cheaper, but are region 2. I had Jackie Brown (region 2) over a year before it was released in the states.

<< <i>how would u hook that up to a Flip down scree.. that would probably take a lot of work wouldnt it..... thats sweet.. i might get someting like that too >>
The flip down monitor, depending on what brand, should have AV plugs to hook it into. I am still deciding on which ones I want to get.
<< <i>sorry for all the questions but... dont you put that thing in where you usually put a cd player? if you do then how do u hook it up? do u run a cable straight from the thing to the monitor. LMK tanks >>
It all depends. You can't install a PS2 where your CD is. They just mount it between the driver/passager seat or under the seat. The flipdown monitor hangs from the ceiling

<< <i>what kind of car you have >>
Just bought a 99 Chevy venture minivan (fully loaded). Now I need to add a DVD or PS2, monitor, and get the front 2 windows tinted even darker. I'll be all set.
instead of getting a flip down just get a nice 7'' or larger lcd monitor and mold it in anywhere you like
and hooking it up is as easy as hooking it up to your tv in your house almost red/white/and yellow plugs
figure on buying an inverter for your ps2 if thats what you are running and you may want to look into a
nice optima battery as well. Remember your ps2 only works 2 ways laying flat or standing on its end
try and put in into something at an angle nd it dosent like to read the disc
hope this helps a bit

I prefer a flip down so it won't be in the way. If I install the PS2, it will be mounted in the back.
<< <i>i plan on getting an expedition... i cnt wait... i just got my temp I.D. today.. I looked messed up in the pictre. lol >>
I was thinking SUV until I heard how much insurance was. Your insurance will be the same or more than your note.
<< <i>i have good grades and i plan on getting an alarm so hopefully that will lower it... plus i am a boy so it is higher... well anyways it is free tl im 18... i hope it doesnt get too expensive.. i might gt a blazer now (would insurance be cheaper on that)? >>
Doesn't matter. You are single and under 25. To put everything into perspective, let me break it down for you. I haven't had any accidents, over 25, took driver's ed in high school, and the SUV I was going to get had an alarm on it. Insurance on a 1998 Toyota 4Runner was $358 down, $269/month. This is for a 98, not brand new and it still was high. Insurance companies see under 25 (especially 18 and under) a high risk. Alarm on vehicle cuts it down very little because that has nothing to do with wrecks or vehicle damage. Call a car insurance company and get a quote on a SUV.
<< <i>269.00 is crzy a month for insurance >>
It's always high if you haven't had insurance in the last 6 months. And since he is under 18, it's going to be high.

talk to them to get the price down... it works cuz they're paid by commission, so you can knock off like 40 bucks, like i did on my $250 cd player.. i got it for $210..

<< <i>im probably gonna end up buyin thru ebay too... but why pay for installation when it is so fun to install yourself
Because my warranty is not as good as a professional installer. I have other things to do for fun. That's like saying why pay a professional to do electrical work on the house when it's fun to do it myself.
