02 Football box break...check this out!

Hi,

Bought a box of 2002 Stadium Club football on E-bay for $30 - this has got to be the best box that I have had in a long, long time. Here is what I pulled:

Yeah, for once I actually pulled some decent cards. Usually, I will get the Tyrone Wheatley GU jersey and 6 rookies I have never heard of! Maybe my luck is changing....

My eBay buys normally blow up in my face...I pulled 2 Autographics out of a single box of 2000 Skybox...both were Marcus Robinson which book $20 but are actually worth more like $1...Then I pulled 1 auto out of a box of 99 UD Hologrfx and it had to be George Lombard BV$10 actual worth about $0.01...It's gotten to the point I look for that section they ta,pered with to make my boxes bad when buying from eBay (not really that paranoid about it but ya get the point)...It's good to see someone deserving of it have some luck with a box they didn't have to go broke buying.

Hey, thanks man. Yeah, I am right there with you. Usually I just pull a bunch of crap. You do take a risk buying boxes off E-bay.....but I have to say that the company I bought from seemed very reputable (TradingCard Source - www.tradingcardsource.com). They even sent me some extras and a memo pad with their company logo on it. I would recommend them...

Definitely will trade you the Harrison GU. The swatch is nice....it's kind of pink from where the red meets the white at the top of the Pro Bowl jersey. LMK. Thanks.

Why is it that whenever I go to trade for new stuff Beckett OPG has a big ol' NA next to the card I am interested in? Almost all of the cards from that set do. I'll let you know what I manage to acquire at the show and if nothing good I'll see what I have here you might like that has an NA book value (more like it a bv that seems fair to both of us).

oh, and i agree with liveandlearn, i no longer buy boxes on ebay, i opened 15 boxes, and only got 1 gu, and 2 cards worth over $20. As for the ud hologrfx, i usually have good luck with that, and that auto books $25

well teh harrison books $12 , not sure on the owens, that isnt listed

The Harrison booked $12 last months Beckett magazine and on OPG but many they aren't listing BV's for might come back up with higher BV's because in the Magazine this month they don't do an unlisted star or common price for them. It doesn't happen that way often but I have seen them re-evaluate and come up with some prices that were a bit different than initial release.

ya hopefully they realize that on 02 private stock stuff. ppl are paying 50%-125% bv on some of those. Its crazy. I could undertand if the cards were the actual logo, or part of #, but they are just cut to the shape.

Around $15 seems fair on the Harrison GU. The Owens auto is one of the few LoneStar sigs that wasn't booked - two months in a row in Beckett football. I checked E-bay and had a real difficult time finding any of them - I am guessing that they are short printed or just not being traded heavily.
