I recently upgraded my 1836 O-109 half-dollar - opinions welcome

My old one only grades Fine but I found and immediately purchased this example with substantially better details, and also a decently struck motto on the reverse. "RIB" often seem weakly struck for the die-marriage.
Opinions welcome!

Looks as if the coin spent time either in a Kraft envelop or album after being enhanced. The obverse field scratch might prevent a straight grade. I would put this one in a type set album. I see EF details as the TPG.
Experience the World through Numismatics...it's more than you can imagine.
Old cleaning. XF details.
Looks really nice, would have to send in to our hosts see what it really grades.
Lightly cleaned, XF details but attractive.

I like it

I too like it has a gentle, older cleaning with XF (borderline AU) details.
What did your half look like before this one replaced it?
Ultra-original, but it only graded Fine - barely. And it had a weak motto on the reverse. Especially for die-marriages that tend to be poorly struck at PLURIB, I strive to find better detailed examples.
Unfortunately I never imaged by low grade example

Sounds like a worthy and healthy replacement then.
It's always fun to upgrade by a few points!
Nice toning.
