Were you hoping for a CAM on the SMS coins? I don't think you'd go for that that based off of your other threads and the coins (mirrors severely lacking). Perhaps some high grades?
@SanctionII You are posting some amazing coins. Congrats on the finds. You have me going through my 100 proof sets from the late 50's and early 60's but I just can't see getting any that look like what you have posted. Keep them coming.
My recent submissions have been mostly of 1939-1970 Proof and SMS coins that I have cherrypicked since returning to the hobby as an adult in 1998.
Two submissions are still at PCGS. I am waiting for Trueviews to post of another 97 proof minors from 1939 - 1964 that are in three submissions that are back in my possession.
I will post Trueviews of those coins when they are available.
dang. now i look em over again, imo, 546, 547 probably shoulda squeaked in as well for cam.
standards must be pretty strict.
ive known people to still pay premiums for deep fields like that as those aren't the common surfaces for AH unless a ton of them have come out of the woodwork.
perhaps 547 was lightly dipped but not rinsed properly unless the haze came from cello?
6 of these AH half dollars were in OGP Proof Sets that I purchased from a local shop a couple of years ago for $10.00 per set,.............................. even though none of them appear to be fully frosted on both sides.
Funny thing is that I had picked up the 7th coin the day before at a different local shop. It was in an OGP set and I paid $24.00 for that set. I thought that was a great coin day, but the next day was even better.

Most people have no idea how many coins are out there to cherrypick... One time I got a lot of 6 OGP proof sets for $120 with blurry pics on Ebay. 4 CAM Accent Hairs and a 1960 DDR FS-801 dime. That was the best coin purchase I've ever made.

Not hoping for CAM on the SMS half dollars. Just wondering what they would grade.
very nice, how many days did you have the coins back before TruViews posted?
I received the AH half dollars back from our host on June 27, 2022. The Trueviews of these coins posted yesterday. 18 days after I received the coins.
@SanctionII... Those AH Kennedy halves are amazing. Always been an interest of mine. Congratulations on some gorgeous coins. Cheers, RickO
Really a nice display on those Kennedys.
I would be proud to have anyone of them in my sets.

those are some tough grades on the AH. all those deep fields (minus some reverse frost) but no cams or +s.
548 looks like it should have squeaked in, from the pics.
