Capital Plastics #441 Quarter Type Set

lordmarcovanlordmarcovan Posts: 43,658 ✭✭✭✭✭

Another short set I thought I'd do in a Capital Plastics holder. Trying for a matched grey look on the silver, though that will be impossible for the Bicentennial quarter- I'll just go with a white silver proof there. All I need is to find is a matching Bust quarter, and then pop that Bicentennial proof in there, and presto! This one will be done.

I think that little hint of color on the Standing Liberty is a bonus.

Check eBay. I've seen some wholesome and circulated 1976 quarters that would match your set, and they go for cheap.

Wow, I wouldn't expect there would be any circs like this, especially with grey toning, but I'll look.

I have a silver S mint or a D mint that has some circulation and is a little grey.
If either would work for you just let me know. ;)

Thankee, kind sir. I think I'll just go for a silver proof there. I did as @braddick and checked eBay for grey-toned circs, but as I expected, there weren't any. It's kind of a tall order to find such a relatively modern piece in grey-toned VF or so!

A proof might look a little out of place with the other circulated coins.

You could use one of mine as a pocket piece to add a little more wear or store it on a window sill in an envelope to add a little toning. ;)

    Did I mention it's free. :)
