The three books you need are Yonaka’s books on fractional pillars and Mexican portraits, Gilboys book on Colomnarias. All of the other books you have posted have nothing to do with Mexican 4’s and 8’s.

Auction catalogs are helpful as well despite your line. No hams sale of the Alexander Patterson collection, Pablo Gerber, Swiss Bank Emilio Ortiz are more relevant than all of the books you own and cost next ti nothing.

80's or 90's, sold by Spinks to my recollection. I do not own it but it is on my list to buy.

For starters, they owned a 1732 4R without Assayer or denomination. I suspect it is the Gilboy plate coin and also the NGC MS-63. The 1732's are among the coins I would like to own most, though I do not actively buy Mexico.

Rudman had both types. Wonderful coins. I’d love to see the MS63 one day.

I don’t see a 1732 4R in N63 in the census, the 1733-MX/XM was originally in an N63 holder, now P63. Rudman had an N58 which is the highest graded that I have heard of.

In the view I am looking at now, it is between Rudman's former two 1732s, both graded AU-58. Rudman had an AU-58 w/out assayer and denomination and one with it, both in the Heritage archives.

I might be able to take a snapshot of the NGC page with my computer and post it here, but not proficient with that. Unfortunately, NGC doesn't number the entries in their census.

If I am seeing a mirage, take a look at the Gilboy plate coin, as I don't believe it is the ex-Rudman coin. It looks similar but Rudman's has slight planchet flaw or something on the rim which apparently accounted for the AU-58 grade. I don't remember seeing this on the plate coin. It's an assumption of mine that the Gilboy plate coin is ex-Norweb, I don't know it definitively.

If you have a copy of the Norweb Mexico Spinks catalogue, I presume an image is included and you can compare it to my post description and the ex-Rudman coin. I don't have one.
