I picked this up today. From the IKE series. Is this the "PPL", partial peg leg,variety for the 1971s PF. IKE? I checked for some of the markers. Like the Detailed hair, open loop of the '9', even the low "G"? Can anyone pinpoint my quest? Better pics with my scope. Thanks guy's.

I had to do some reading, as I was not familiar with this variety. I'm guessing you've read the same information, but just in case:

To me, yours looks like the regular peg leg. One pick up point for the PPL is that IGWT is very weak, with a break in the "O" of "GOD". I don't see that on your example.

This time I snatched the DDO 1972s Pf. Split serifs everywhere! Dang, that dreaded haze on these! Anything to use to remove without harming the value of the coin? I'll take some scope pics when I get home. Thanks guy's.

Nice picks! I love Ike dollars for the fact that there are tons of nice varieties to be found, especially in the first few years. Another perk is that many dealers seem to despise them because they accumulate quickly (they're in just about every 'collection' that comes in over the counter) and end up blowing them out cheap without really looking at them.
My dream variety is a 1971-S 'Brown' proof, Type 1 reverse, in a 'Compliments of Richard Nixon' box. Even if the coins are in 2X2's, I still look for that one.
