Ebay has altered an option on offers ~

I just noticed ebay has taken away the ability of an offerer to retract his offer after the offerer makes an initial offer and is awaiting seller response.... can anyone else confirm this ?

Just this morning someone (the offerer) retracted their offer to me (the seller) before I could respond...
"An offer can be revoked any time prior to acceptance", is a basic contracts legal principle. Maybe eBay chose to change its TOS to fall in line.
I guess I misread that. Are you saying the offer is " locked in" and can't be revoked. If so, wow, that is interesting.
If the seller accepts the offer and you no longer want it can't you simply cancel the order before you pay?
