Help me with this baseball statistic.

The link above shows the MLB standings for this year.

The teams with a positive run differential in both leagues combined adds up to +574.
The teams with a negative run differential in both leagues combined adds up to - 1338

Does this seem strange ? If all teams play each other throughout the regular season, shouldn't the
run differential add up to zero when subtracting the positive teams from the negative teams ?

    at the very heart of the problem is that the site is ESPN!! that network should spare us all and die on the vine.
