The various funky (3's) on the 1823 CBH dates. Finally picked up a Patched 3.

I've always been fascinated by these.
With this date more than any other I've always imagined the supervisors and workers involved, the conversations, the anger, laughter....
It's low grade (VG-8) yet remarkably clean.
BUT it's that '3' that I'm interested in and it shows beautifully.
I now have the "Normal" and "Patched" and look to someday get the "Broken" and "Ugly".

Don’t worry about the grade. It’s a perfect example of the variety with clean, smooth surfaces.

Nice coin... and for a collector of coin anomalies, the grade is usually secondary... Cheers, RickO
