Really?!! Major auction house and TPG laziness #2

Wow, someone should be fuming. Nice, conditionally challenging quarter, and through prestigious Stacks, and only 11 years ago. What chokes you up the most about this auction sale? Pics attached, and here's link:

    I don't think the descriptive "grade" did much to hurt this coin. There are enough potential bidders who look at the lots and the photos to know what this coin is. Looks XF/AU with some "shine" to the fields....probably from an old cleaning. $8500 seems like a reasonable price to me for this coin back in 2007. A fully original specimen is where the real money is at. This would probably net down 1/2-1 grade.

    I had one similar to this that technically was EF 40/45 with faint luster, and it wouldn't grade. Ended up selling it raw at FUN for $2000 or about net VF25-30 money....that was around 7 yrs ago. Prices might be weaker now.
