What does it mean when a user's name shows up in a PM with a line through it...

...and when you hover over it it says "XXXXXX has left this conservation"

Left/departed/deleted the conversation or something to that effect.
The went away. Far away. A long way away.
They deleted the PM

At the top of the PM screen there is the option to leave the conversation, the other party clicked on that option for one reason or another. I did that once by mistake but no way to undo it.

Could it also mean that the other person has you on ignore?
Resend the PM.
If it lines out again then whoever it is does not want to PM chat. Or, maybe, they do not know what to do.
