The San Antonio looks out of place and I like it best.
Wonder if the Guam designer is a lefty.

Nice designs !!!
Looks more "coinish."
The others more "same old stuff-ish."
I get it. Two left handed Marines. Also the rifles are way, way, off. Oh well.
That one just looks weird to me. The way he is laying on the ground looks very odd.
The perspective is a bit off with the Idaho; seeing it from an artist point of view.... the kayaker looks like about to plunge
So last year finally?
Box of 20
I like the San Antonio Mission design....The Guam design is notable in that it shows two left handed Marines.....Cheers, RickO
As they would appear in a mirror.
I don't think that's a kayak.
AND I don't think it's gonna fit between those rocks.
Has our country lost its imagination? Or are there "groups" that would be OFFENDED if a really artistic allegorical image was approved for a circulating coin?
So a mistake gets made. They COVERED UP Liberty's breast in 1917 but still ended up with a pretty classy coin.
All the newer designs smack of political correctness or political...PANDERING...
I consider it a shame and it's the reason I don't collect "moderns."
I've even TRIED to find an appealing "modern" design in the Redbook to no avail.
One or two ....maybe... but not enough to bother with.
Ah well, it' s time for the senior singalong so I'll be out for a while.
The design could have been flipped right to left at some point in the process as more appealing visually.
Designs for 2020.
"Let's go to Idaho and do some whitewater boating." Hmmm...
That's a great depiction of why it's called the River Of No Return.
Tuskegee Airman looks totally badass
Weir Farm... not so much.
My daughter will LOVE the Kansas design!
I live not so far from those rivers. Plunging down miniature waterfalls is more common than not...... Still, I'm not thrilled with the design. Maybe it would be better with a little banjo music.
All the 2020 designs are decent IMO.
Great eye. On the subject, my father is a lefty. Love the stories of him qualifying with a standard issue .45.
Sooooooooooo glad we're almost at the end!
