The dark brown is the real one (proof) and the lighter brown is the copy.
This is an unbelievably close copy. I don't have it yet as it is on its way to me.
I will weigh and measure it but I've not seen one this close.

.
I hope the gif works out as I have never done one.
I swapped out the real one for a darlin brown proof and overplayed the copy(light brown)
I also did them separately, and you can see where the copy was laid over the real one.

The token arrived a few days ago and looks very nice. It weighs 7.4 grams
dia is 31.34 mm Plain edge and looks like copper to me. Great surfaces so I will have to say struck copy.
.
.Unfortunately my photography skills are not up to par lately but here is my best shot at the one I received.
Below each one is the real for comparison.

.
In my humble opinion it is an very good copy and only after some time of examining would
I be able to realize its not real.

Your gif works great
I would've been fooled not having studied an original piece

This is a stupid question, but how do you know it is fake?
The "fake" is so nice maybe people should just collect those.
Are they sure it's fake? other than denticle positions, they look the same except the Brown "fake" has so much more detail. Good job on the gif. I would like to see your final analysis on this one.
Wow, interesting !!!
Cool gif but can you post the real and fake below separately also?
The fake is really good and look forward to seeing your photos.
Are there any others for sale
@broadstruck, I did a separate one of each but the copy image is not as sharp so we shall have to see if my image gets better when in hand.
@elemint thanks for providing that link as that image is much sharper to compare with.

Amazing.... with close examination, one can detect minor differences in clothing, denticles....maybe other points I have overlooked.....Would certainly have fooled me if viewed alone. Great pictures Stef....Cheers, RickO
The edge treatment/denticles are the giveaway.
Check out some of my 1794 Large Cents on www.coingallery.org
I'd be careful about the denticles, as the real coin is slabbed and thus we're not getting the full view of its rim. The shield and on the other side the ground seem to show the most differences. The lettering also, tho for me that's tough to describe. It is a good copy, note it contains the die blemish just under the cap.

Noticeable bump on the spear (obv) as you get towards the tip...but yes, a dangerous copy.

The body parts on the fake are inelegant blobs relative to the smooth lines of the original. Especially on the kids.
Maybe if the sculpture looks like it was made from Play-Doh, consider a pass?
Yikes... that's a lot of money on the line!

It arrived a few days ago so I have included my images and the one from Heritage for comparison.
