This is a very low mintage date of only 11,634 coins, of which less than 150 are estimated to have survived. This coin is pretty well struck for this date and mint and has great color and lots of remaining luster. It does have 2 scratches on the obverse, hence the details grade. A high grade AU in this date is very scarce and would sell for 4 times this price without the marks. Check the past prices on Heritage. This is a nice Charlotte coin for a bargain! The scratches are there but look worse than they are in my photos.
