2001 American Buffalo Coin and Currency Set. Complete, as received from the mint, and immaculate. Coin has one tiny mark in a non main focal area (lower reverse), I guess it would "69". $180
2001 Buffalo $1 PCGS PR69DCAM $195
(1) 2002/ (3) 2004/ (1) 2005 Silver Proof sets All Gem with clean packaging $49 ea

CENTS
1838 VF, some corrosion. $28
1915 D PCGS MS62RB. Very nice luster and mostly red with some pale freckling on the obverse. Gem reverse with red highlights over purplish blue. Excellent strike. $159
1911 S F12 $40
1919 P PCGS MS64RB nice luster $75
1929 S Lincoln Cent MS64 Red. Lustrous, fully red coin with a few freckles. Very well struck for the issue. $95
1930 P PCGS MS66RD Gem $120
1932 D Lincoln Cent PCGS MS65 Red. Vibrantly lustrous and blazing red, just a couple of tiny scratches on the shoulder ( a couple, as in two), with a blazing 66 reverse. Fully struck. $165
1931 D Lincoln Cent ICG MS64RD. Appropriately graded. This is a very underrated and scarce date in Mint State. While the original mintage may be five times that of the '31S, the population reports show that this date in 64RD and higher is five times as scarce as the '31S. With a PCGS Pop of just 196 in 64RD, and 171 higher (396 in ALL Mint State grades combined), this date should humble the '31S, which has a pop of 1187 in 64RD and 824 higher, with nearly 2200 graded in all mint state grades combined. Think there's a bunch out there raw, waiting to be graded? I seriously doubt it. Nice red coin with very few marks and good luster. Some faint freckling limiting the grade. Tough coin, with a PCGS priceguide listing @ $375 (the '31S lists @$400). $250
1933 D AU dipped, couple of hits on the cheek. Presentable look though, $13
1934 D PCGS MS65RD Gem $80
1935 S ANACS MS64RB nearly full red. $50
1936 P PCGS MS66RD Gem $50
1936 S PCGS MS65RD Gem $20
1937 D PCGS MS66 RD Blazing red Gem $40
1937 S PCGS MS66 RD Blazing red Gem $60
1938 P PCGS MS66RD Gem $38
1938 S PCGS MS66RD Gem (2) $50
1940 P PCGS MS66RD Gem $35
1941 s PCGS MS66RD Gem $35
1942 P PCGS MS66RD Gem $39
1942 D PCGS MS66RD Gem $35
1942 S PCGS MS66RD Gem $40
1945 P PCGS MS66RD Gem $35
1945 D PCGS MS66RD Gem $28
1949 D PCGS MS66 RD Blazing red Gem $95
1952 S PCGS MS66RD Gem $35
1983 DDR FS-801 PCGS MS65 RD. Excellent mark free surfaces, and full red with a touch of planchet wash ( I think), discoloration. Some die polish is apparent on the obverse, but there are ABSOLUTELY no "Pox" bubbles. The reverse has a great strike, with the STA in States clearer than most, and great naked eye doubling. There is a MINIMUM of bubbling on the reverse. After looking at as many examples as I could find on line in auction archives, this one clearly ranks in a top tiny percentile for the grade. $525
1995 DDO NGC MS67RD Superb Gem, full red. 1 bubble on the obv, zero on the reverse, no spots, nice color. $85

1860 O Seated Half Dime, PCGS "Unc details Questionable toning". I've seen a lot of proofs of this era with identical toning. The strike, color, and luster are simply amazing. Searching through the Heritage archives and PCGS Coinfacts, this 1860 O has better eye appeal (IMO) than either the NGC 67* (Heritage) or the PCGS 67 (Coinfacts). Of course, pictures are no definitive substitute for in hand viewing, and while the two 67s may look better in hand, the offered example absolutely does. There are some hairlines on both sides, but if this were a proof of the same era, the grade would probably be 64. This coin looks to be, at the very least, mint state, and one of the first coins off the dies, surfaces appearing quite prooflike. Being that 1860 was a transitional year for the design, it isn't a long leap to the possibility that this is a presentation piece, cherished for generations by descendants of the recipient, and more recently, housed for many decades in a Wayte Raymond (?) album. Simply, one of the most appealing Half Dimes out there. $375
1890 Seated Dime NGC MS64. Nearly white and very lustrous, with but a hint of tone (images are a bit more pronounced). Well struck and clean for the grade, the "soft" area at "AM" on the obverse is a scuff on the holder, the legend is well defined. A very nice Type example. $370
1892 Barber, Yellow ANACS MS61. Looks better with some faint hairlines, brilliant white with attractive red rim tone on the obv. Nice unc dime. $150
1911 Barber, old small white ANACS MS61. Nice original coin, lightly toned centers with some crusty charcoal clinging to the edges. Looks more like 63. $150
1913 Barber, PCGS MS62. Fully brilliant and well struck, just a hint of vanilla. $155.
1914 Barber, NGC MS63. Lustrous, very well struck, and quite mark free for the grade. Some blue /gold/red/ yellow/green around the obverse periphery, with the reverse sporting an intense rainbow arc from 5:00 to 11:00 in neon gold/magenta/green. Original, unmessed with, and very pretty. $225
1916 P Barber Dime PCGS MS64. Lustrous, well struck white coin. Nice for Type, and doesn't appear to have been dipped. $295
1919 D VF35 $30
1919 S VF30 $25
1921 P G4 origianl dirty coin $45
1928 P Merc PCGS MS64. A very nice looking original Merc. Mostly brilliant, but with an obviously original golden caste, mostly on the obverse. There is also a thin arc of vivid red, gold and blue from 10-2 on the obverse, and splash of golden red from 7-8 on the reverse. Also, though not denoted, the bands are fully split. Faint at the middle, but split nonetheless. Oh, also, very clean for the grade and well struck. A neat piece $105

1835 B-2, VF20 obverse, XF reverse, lightly cleaned. $125
1853 O DGS F15 old time russet/grey with blue around the devices. Not stated on the holder, but netted, I believe, 10 points or so for an ancient light wipe. Great looking crusty coin. $60
1853 ARROWS & RAYS SEATED QUARTER NGC VF35 WAY CRUSTY, DIRTY, AND ORIGINAL $95
1854 With Arrows XF 40, luster remains among the devices. A light cleaning, and mostly light silvery grey, but not unnaturally bright, with a hint of light gold/tan. $50
1854 O DGS F15 nice original dirty grey/russet, and more like VF20. $60
1877 S NGC MS61. Mostly brilliant, a bit of light secondary album tone at the upper obverse rim. Some scuffing and tics, commensurate with the grade, but confined mostly to the obverse, as well as some pimples resultant from rusted dies. A nice affordable example for Type, and truly UNC. $360
1891 PCGS MS64. A gorgeous toned piece, with vivid seagreen at the rims, surrounding brilliant centers with splashes of coppery red around the devices. Well struck except for the stars from 10:00 to 4:00, and very mark free. No doubt desrves a plus. $1125
1891 PCGS 62 Brilliant with some mottled charcoal amongst the obverse devices and over the reverse. $365
1892 O Barber Quarter PCGS AU53 Nice original looking coin, with an obverse that actually looks closer to MS than AU. Medium silvery grey obverse with gold at the rim, light pewter reverse. $205
1893 O DGS AU50 "Questionable toning". Medium deep pewter with some reddish russet and blue. Tough call on the toning, lots of luster, and, I believe, netted from a 55-58 due to a light scratch. Still a very nice looking better date. $145
1895 O Barber quarter PCGS Genuine. Coded "94" for "altered Surfaces". When I first looked at this under fluorescent light, it was so glossy, I immediately thought, "oh, it's lacquered". However, after inspection under some reveals with a glass, I see absolutely no reason this did not grade AU58, and given a star ( if PCGS did such things) for eye appeal. A beautiful, lustrous and well struck better date. Priced @ MS60 bid. $290.
1917 Type 1 NGC XF45. Well detailed with no fading at the date. White, and most likely gently cleaned long ago, with an easily missed light reverse scratch. Lots of luster remains. $150
1917 D Type 1 ICG MS62FH. Brilliant and looks better, VERY Full Head. $375
1917 S PCGS AU53FH. Lovely deep tone, great luster and strike, looks better. $335
1926 D ANACS MS63. Old low 6 digit holder. Nice original piece with good luster. The head is better than many for this date, flatness only in central part. $185
1927 S SLQ G4, natural light silvery grey. $30
1929 P ANACS MS63 (old small white holder) Gorgeous original coin with vivid blue and gold rim tone, nice coin. $265
1932 S DGS AU50, "Lightly Cleaned". Mostly white, but not unnaturally bright, with a hint of lavender at the peripheries. While the obverse was cleaned a bit more enthusiastically than the reverse, it still retains a nice look, and considerable detail for the grade. Would fit nicely in an otherwise AU/BU set. $190
1934 P ANACS MS65. Early holder (880849), and accurately graded. Gorgeous original coin with great luster, and just the right hints of gold, amber and blue to say "never dipped". $90
1934 D ANACS MS62 (Blue holder) lustrous with toning towards the rims in gold/amber/lavender, a couple scrapes, but very nice appeal. $230
1935 S NGC MS62. Fully brilliant and looks better, some light facial hairlines. $125
1937 P PCGS 64 Brilliant and very nice $55
1937 D ICG MS61. Harshly graded, should be a point better. One reeding mark on the forehead, faint hairlines on the neck and right obv field. $85
1939 D PCGS MS64 OGH. Some mottled tan here and there, mostly brilliant with good luster, obverse a touch baggy. $65
1940 S Washington ICG MS64 $40
1941 S Washington Quarter PCGS MS65, light bluish green/ golden russet radiating out from creamy centers. $75

1925 S ANACS MS61 (small white, 6 digit cert). Brilliant with some aquamarine /golden russet above the tiara at the upper rim, and by the date. Nice luster and well struck. Orange peel surfaces over much of the obveres. A nice looking example of this problematic date, which has the highest wholesale value of any date in Gem. $125

1927 S PCGS MS 63 Brilliant $385
1927 D NGC MS61 Fully brilliant, flashy and lustrous white. A full strike and no significant tics gives this the look of a much higher grade. Some fine scartches, nearly indiscernible, and mostly in the cheek area, are the reason for the grade. A very nice looking example of this much better date. $235
1928 Peace ANACS MS61. Brilliant white. Sharp with some hairlining on obv, rev quite frosty w/ some tics, reeding marks. Crack in the holder, but not invasive. $495
1928 S DGS MS61. Frosty luster and well struck. Brilliant obverse, reverse mostly so, with some faint speckling, as often encountered on original examples of this date/mint. Two scrapes on the cheek and a couple on the neck are the reason for the grade, scattered tics on the reverse. Good naked eye appeal on this semi key date. $200
1935 P MS61 brilliant, looks better, well struck and attractive, some light hairlines $80
1972 P Ike Nice strike and luster, with attractive concentric rings of bllue and gold on the obverse. I would call MS64, but from what I've seen, probably grades better. $10

COMMEMORATIVES
1893 Columbian PCGS MS63 OGH. Original, and looks two points better. Predominately white with some pale gold at the rims. Very few marks, fully struck sails, and looks PL to me. This is an outstanding Columbian. $125
1893 Columbian MS64. Deep original golden/red grey tone, with nice luster and no marks. $65
1920 Maine PCGS MS64. A touch of color at the obverse rim of this obviously original coin. Fully struck with nary a mark to be seen. Great looking coin for this issue. $240
1921 Alabama ANACS MS61, blue label. Lustrous, brilliant white $225
1923 S Monroe PCGS MS63. Great original coin, not dipped out and not ugly toned, looks much better. $149
1925 S California commem MS60+, Chromey brilliance, looks MS63, light hairlines. $185
1925 S California Jubilee NGC MS62. Some mottled golden russet and blue at the rims, as often seen , attesting to the originality of this coin. I often wonder what common storage this may be attributed to. In his Commem book, QDB referred to some "leather pouches", not official issue, and I suspect these may be the source. Chromelike luster, with brilliant centers, and well struck. A few light slide marks on the obverse responsible for the grade. Very nice for the grade. $215
1934 Texas PCGS MS62 OGH. Touch hazy, but lustrous and looks 64 to me. $185
1936 PDS Rhode Island Set PCGS 64/65/64. Without question, this original set has been together since it was issued over 75 years ago. Matched original toning over clean surfaces. A very nice set. $475
1936 Albany PCGS/CAC MS65. Lustrous mostly white with a faint patina overall, a tad darker at the rims. Well struck and quite mark free... CLEAN BEAVER... $325.
1936 York ANACS MS62. Looks MS64 with a full strike, creamy white and quite clean surfaces with a hint of gold, and nice satiny luster. A few very light lines on the obverse are responsible for the grade, and are invisible at all but the right angle. Very pleasing coin. $175
1936 York NGC MS66. Old fatty holder. A nearly mark free, originally toned example, with decent luster. The toning is an antique golden russet, medium in depth, and distrbuted evenly over both sides. It is obvious that this coin has never been dipped or messed with. $275
1936 Bridgeport ICG MS64. Appropriately graded, with clean, well struck, lustrous white surfaces. A touch of patina appears as you view at an angle. Very nice coin. $160

1926 S Oregon PCGS MS65 Predominately silver, with some blue and red on the obverse rims and some vivid rainbow on the reverse rims. Great looking coin. $275
1937 D Oregon PCGS MS65. Great original tone from the cardboard holders these came in, Great strike and very clean, with the luster being a tad muted by the medium toning. Appearing a mottled light greyish russet, the surfaces transform into vivid reds/golds/ and green under a light. An excellent original coin. $275
1937 Roanoake. Brilliant MS63. $185 OUT FOR GRADING
1936 York. Brilliant MS64. $175
1936 Wisconsin. Brilliant with a hint of tone MS60. Two tiny rim bumps, some friction on the beaver. $190

1937 P Boone PCGS MS65 Fully struck, with light pastel golden white surfaces. A few small tics and light scuffs. $165
1935 P Boone PCGS MS63 OGH. Some mottled tone on the obverse, but obviously original. Smooth, clean and fully struck surfaces. Looks to grade at least MS64. $115
1946 Iowa DGS MS65, wonderfully original, high end coin. Satiny silver luster over both sides, with but a tinge of tone at the obverse rim. Well struck, and mark free, looks fully MS66. $135

1947 PDS BTW NGC65/66/65 gorgeous matched and original white set with a thin crescent of irridescent reddish amber on the bottom of each obverse. "D" mint has PCGS pop of 53/0, NGC pop of 75/2. I believe the "D" mint to be one of the absolute scarcest Commems in Superb Gem. Their absence from most inventories and auctions suggests that the 2000 sets distributed by Stacks may be all that exist of the "D" mint, with the huge remainder of 98,000 being melted for future BTW and WC issues. $775
