KILO Libertad Questions

Can someone help me with the 2014 KILO Libertads(and, I guess, all strikes since they were made in 2002)..some are listed as BU, others as "Prooflike"..update..found THIS, which answers the question:
http://www.libertadproof.com/mintage.html
Lastly..my belly button is telling me NOT to buy Libertads from AMPEX, or, another large Bullion Dealer...why? Don't they buy direct, send the BEST coins in for grading, then, sell the culls to the public? I don't want crappy proof Libertads, with issues. Opinions welcomed.

I don't know if you care about varieties, but the first year has two lettering varieties. They are easily distinguishable in the size of the mintmark.

I've never researched it further since discovery, but it could be one variety is from the pattern dies?
But I did ask an official at the Mexican Mint and I thought he said the mintmark was punched into the working dies. So if that were true, then my guess is wrong. This is an area for further research.

I can't comment about US resellers, but I suspect your thoughts are correct. I'd buy them in Mexico City myself.
