I'm pretty much in love with this coin. Nice attractive preservation, really unique and interesting chopmark, not an easy type to find chiopmarked (phillip V) and an overdate to boot. From the recent stacks sale.

Thanks guys. Roman I hope I didn't step on your toes on this one. If it makes you feel any better I lost a few others this past week, likely to others on this forum.

I'm interested if anyone can decipher the character. I'm also interested if anyone may have seen a similar looking chopmark. I've never seen a chop that is "dished out" like this. I think it's an early version of the relief chopmarks most commonly seen over the next couple of decades.

Dan, don't have to worry about me for a while yet. I still track lots, but currently my work/life situation prohibits me from investing into the hobby. In fact, if you're interested, there are a few other pieces coming up that I'm watching that might be something you would like to add to your collection.

Neat! I've never seen a chop mark with this character before, can you give a little more info?
Maybe it's just a mark affirming quality?

EVP I hope you received a more solid reply than that when you recently asked for her hand in marriage.
