Help Needed ... Canada Perrins Bros 1/2 penny token 1837 near H struck on broken planchet .

Picked this up in a group of U.S. Tokens . Does anyone here collect these ? Whats it worth ? Does the error + or - the coin ? Sorry for the poor photos , the broken planchet looks very cool .

  • Majority of collectors would prefer an example without the flaw. I would say value anywhere from $25 to $50, depending on how a particular buyer feels about the cracked planchet.

    Your token is listed in Breton as number 1010, or in Charlton as UC-4A3. The strike on your example is actually quite nice, as these usually come extremely worn. I would put the value of your example somewhere around $70-$90 retail. I think $25 suggested by the other poster would be a very low estimate, but possible depending on how many people knew what they were bidding on. image
