Even though Kobe has been injured and even though his body is slowing down now that he is in his late 30's with 20 years in the league under his belt, he will still dominate the team.
If Kobe gets healthy for the upcoming season and he has the fire in his body and mind to go after Kareem's all time scoring record [I think Kobe has about 5,000.00 to 6,000.00 points to go to catch and pass Kareem] he will not be looking to pass. Shoot first, shoot again and then shoot some more will likely be his focus.
If you were LaMarcus Aldridge, Kevin Love, Anthony Davis, Draymond Green or other similar free agent why would you want to be an after thought on a lousy Laker team dominated by Kobe?

The best thing for the Lakers is to make this season Kobe's last with the team [he can retire and have a farewell tour around the league; or he can copy MJ, Joe Montana, Brett Favre and the like and sign with another team to play 2-3 more years]. with Kobe gone (and maybe Mitch Kupchak) the Lakers can turn the team over to the new young players they have drafted this year and last year. They can then try to lure free agents to the glamour that is the Lakers and Hollywood in the 2016-2017 season after the salary caps skyrockets.
