Very nice! I think I'm down to five cards left that I need for the 1915 set myself!

If anyone has these 2 in PSA 5+ please let me know!

So whats the deal? You got that beautiful peckinpaugh mentioned earlier in the blog and now a 2 that looks like a 6? I think that second card needs to be passed along, you know, to another member.

I have a '15 Peckinpaugh 8 for sale if anyone is interested.

Scout: Great progress on the set. It is a challenging set to build. Then, when you limit the cards to a 3, it becomes a very slow journey. I have learned that the journey is what I prefer. Good luck.

Scooter: That is a great looking Peck. I am curious to know the flaw.

Once card is in hand, I will post as to what is wrong with the PSA 2 Peckinpaugh. I'm as curious as anyone...

I'd have to agree with Packman, the journey will be the best part I'm sure.

Packman and Rich are right on the money, as this has been an awesome, albeit slow-paced, journey. I know that limiting myself to 3's narrows the market even more, but there's little I can do about my own screwed-up internal compenents. One thing is for sure, picking up a new card for my set -- whether by crossover, raw puchase or pre-slabbed -- is way more significant to me than any other post-50s set I've ever collected. Just think: if this particular set only took about a year and $5,000 to put together, I probably would've traded it off by now and forgot all about it. Building this set has been like raising my kids, except I'll let 'em live under my roof after they've turned 18...LOL.

The PSA 2 Peckinpaugh came in the mail yesterday - looks just as perfect in person as it does in the scan. Not sure WTF the grader was thinking putting a 2 on this, but it will eventually find its way back to PSA (or SGC) for a second look...

79 and counting.....

1 1 17407653 MG: MINIMUM GRADE 1915 CRACKER JACK 56 CLYDE MILAN Card US (Farewall, old soldier)
17407654 VERY GOOD 3 1915 CRACKER JACK 92 AL DEMAREE Card US
17407655 VERY GOOD 3 1915 CRACKER JACK 159 HEINIE GROH Card US

PSA has blessed me with a couple more crossovers for my set, and after its second attempt, it looks as though the Milan card will never see the inside of a PSA slab. There's the tiniest bit of paper loss around his last name on the face card, but it was worth a try. It's now available if anyone needs it.

Rich, I've always enjoyed reading and contributing to this thread, and in an effort to keep things fresh, I'd like your blessing to provide you guys with a recap of the month's exploits, to include any acquisitions, crossover/reholder attempts, etc. I'll refer to it as "Scout's Monthly Update", with this being my inaugural post. Scans are to follow once these bad boys arrive, so please standby...

My work in progress

79 Scout? That's great! I haven't seen much lately and lost out on two auctions so not much to report on my end.

Feel free to do monthly updates! I'm looking forward to them.

I never get tired of seeing a Cracker Jack. Nice card. It brings back memories because Crawford was the 2nd 1914 Cracker Jack that I bought for my set.

I was wondering if anybody wanted to trade. I have an extra 1914 Cracker Jack Harry Lord PSA 3. I wanted to see if anybody had any commons or stars (part trade) to trade. If interested, my set can be seen here: 1914 Cracker Jack Set
