New Forum Software

Hello everyone,

Over the last few months, Collectors Universe has been diligently working on updating the forum software behind the scenes in the hopes of transferring over to a newer version before the end of the year.

With all this work now finished, it’s now our pleasure to say that this new and improved version will launch on Saturday, October 17. The process will take several hours, so please be advised that the forums will be down between 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. PST.

The site will look a little different and may take some getting used to at first, but in general, the features available now will still be available in the new version. In addition, all of your current account info and post history (including PMs) will be transferred over to the new software. Essentially, everything is just being moved over to the new layout.

    I definitely like the updates and the cleaner look. From a user aspect, there doesn't seem to be a whole lot that needs to be "relearned" like a lot of other updates from other websites and software. People don't like big changes and this was a simple and effective update.

    Only problem I'm having is that all of the threads that I was once subscribed to, are no longer. My subscription page is now blank.

    Will this be resolved or will I have to manually subscribe to each again?

    This new format is TERRIBLE. The look is horrible compared to the old view. Trying to post messages is TIME CONSUMING, especially when trying to include an actual listing of items.

    Why would you make such changes?
    I only need 18 cards to complete the Don Mattingly Master collection. Help would be great!

    I agree that there are definitely some bugs that need to get worked out. Not having a line break when you press enter is one. The PM function is balky and can get really really confusing. It would be nice if the PMs were in a thread just like a thread in any of the public sections.
    On a phone the PM is very difficult to reply to
