Ebay Sellers,Yu better check your Dashboard!

Seems ebay is having a disconnect with the Post Office. I have shipped everything the same or next day and have a printed receipt! I just got off the phone with ebay. I have 100% up until August. My shipping percentage just dropped to 88%! I have to call them back after I get my report as there was nothing I can do at the time without an item by item discussion!

I also querried about an item not received that an honest buyer paid me for 3 months later that was lost for awhile by the Post Office. The tracking even showed it being delivered 3 months after it was shipped. I dropped the ball on this one as nothing can be done after 120 days. I then went on to ask....Why do I get a defect when you can see I shipped the coin? Not only do I lose my coin but I get a defect also! He said it is up to the seller to make sure the buyer receives their item. I then said I am buying the service through ebay(USPS). Basically his reply was tough Sh*t but to watch for new things coming up this fall! Uh OH!

You're right. I just checked mine, which was 100% two weeks ago, but is now 94.31%, though all items were labeled and shipped within 24 hours, usually much less, weekends excluded, though the tracking was uploaded.

It's not about you. It's about how slippery can they make the 20% discount.

You are right, I just looked at mine and it went from 100% down to 91% even though all of the items that I have sold show initial scan within 24 hrs. The problem I see with a few of them though is no scan at origin PO and the first scan in tracking is the sort facility. May be laziness at the PO, but even the sort facility scans seem to be within the given time.

I just got my report from ebay. As I suspected every coin I have shipped in August shows no scan reported. 80 % of the shipments show the acceptance scan and all have activity on the day shipped.

PS If they wanna push this I have physical receipts from every coin I have ever shipped!

Hope I don't nedd to organize them and us them.

Mine just dropped from high 90's to high 80's

Anything and everything they can do to keep from paying the 20%

I make two trips daily to the PO, and still cant meet there requirements, processing every sale within 6-12 hours

I just went back and looked , several packages I mailed on Monday am, are not showing up in the ebay tracking system at all, yet I have the scanned in receipt with tracking numbers from Monday am drop off. ???

I thought this happened every month. My numbers start to trail off, but when they do the month end adjustment, everything goes back to normal.

WOW

I dropped to the mid 70's from high 90's

We ship 2-3 times per day. I even run to the PO which is 2 blocks from the office if we get an order as late as 4 PM.

If I can't make the hurdle rate, no one can.

If the senior E-Bay guy is at the PNG meeting at the ANA I will bring this up for discussion

Not sure what the hell is going on with E-Bay. I checked my defects. Several low ratings dinged me, then I check the seller feedback left for me AAA+ but I get dinged...go figure

Another defect from seller for item not as described...here is his feedback: Item arrived safely, quickly, & as described....but I get dinged

Item not received...dinged because the item was at the guys post office....he never checked, another amazing E-Bay way to get punished

I gave up worrying about it. I sell a lot of cheap things so the difference between postage of 49 cents and 2.04 to get a tracking number is not worth it.

My mail box is fifty feet from me I can't control when of if they pick up or if they scan it. With the slow sales glad there not going to get much.

This is what amounts to a soft phase out of the 20% discount. I lost my top rated 3 months ago and I find I'm cool with it. I don't want to run around like a chicken with my head cut off anymore trying to get packages out instantly.

I downloaded the detail report. All the issues are in the last 7-10 days. It shows no tracking info uploaded and no scans, even though if I spot check several of the 150 items (100% of my items since the problem started show no info uploaded and no scans) all the info is there.

They will most likely get this fixed.

For the past 2 weeks or so when I go to leave feedback, I am prompted with a question regarding timely delivery. Here is an example:

Did the item arrive on or before Tuesday, August 11, 2015? Estimated Delivery Date: August 11?

It gives you a yes or no option. Does this perhaps have something to do with it? I always put yes even if it is late, as sellers really don't have any control over how fast the post office takes, particularly on registered packages.

ZAS107 you are correct. This is more a measurement of the USPS, vs a measurement of the seller. As a seller, all we can do is get the item to the PO within 24 hours. Seems if we do that, we should be fine......but E-Bay in their infinite wisdom says that we, as sellers, have a choice of who we ship with, so it really is our fault if the shipper WE choose can't deliver within the window that E-Bay sets forth.

My guess is they never really verified it with the post office before last week and now are starting to do so.
People at the PO aren't going to scan each package. That's a lot of work

My % just reverted to 100% ( from 94.31%), while I was on the phone w/ebay regarding another issue ( not received defect, 3rd call after 2 assurances that it would be removed). The rep said it was a glitch of some kind ( the tracking deal). I told him I wasn't happy, I'm sure he didn't care.

I found that it was too hard to keep my handling time to one day so I do not even try anymore
not worth the hassle to get their discount. They have people whose full time job is to give sellers
as many unnecessary headaches as possible.

The rep I spoke today was well informed about the problem by his supervisor when his shift started. He said over 30% of his calls were related to this issue and to rest assured ebay was working diligently to fix the problem. He also assured me that it would not affect Top Rated Sellers! We shall see!

I have had my shipping % drop for no apparent reason from time to time. Usually it straightens itself out after the item is delivered. Not sure, but I think it may have happened when I printed shipping labels on a Saturday with a Saturday shipping date, but did not get it to the post office until Monday morning ( my PO is closed on Saturday). I have not seen the problem happen after I started printing Monday shipping labels over the weekend.
