It is housed in a fake PCGS slab, so our hosts should be made aware of it too.

Sadly when you check the serial number on the certification page, it goes to a 1928 double in MS-65.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
Miss liberty had a terrible nose job done lol. Anyone who collects these shouldn't be fooled but you never know . These counterfiet slabs are getting out of hand!

You can't go by just the "nose job." I have a PCGS MS63 1928 with a similar nose....only worse.....her entire head is flat without any facial features. 100% legit and well struck coin otherwise.
The date looks cartoonish. And the actual condition looks more like AU from the photo. Seller was too lazy didn't even provide a reverse photo per Ebay rules.....lol. Find it interesting that it's from a longtime seller with 100% FB. Is this a hijacked account? Or maybe it's that the seller knows bars and not Saints?
The scary part is that you could have some big buyer purchase some St. Gaudens $20 gold coins in bulk or have some bullion dealer who doesn't know anything except the current quotes for gold getting a hold of something like this as a piece in a large lot coins. The coin is in a "PCGS holder" after all, so it must be good.

<< <i>Why is a $2k coin bidding at $10k? >>
Because anyone who outbids me will know better.

Told him to go to Heritage and look for any similar PCGS grade MS65 $20 gold piece. He should be
able to see a huge difference.
