Coin-related dreams

Had one last night. Peeked into a cash register and saw a few Buffalo nickels, so I asked the cashier if I could look at the rest of the stuff in the register. He dumped it out on a convenient coin tray, and there were the nickels and a few half dimes, and then I picked up what I thought was a Canadian 10 cents, but it turned out to have a perfect miniature Morgan dollar head with UNITED STATES OF AMERICA around. Turned it over and it had a standard cereal wreath dime reverse (struck from a very well-worn die) and an O mint mark! Then I woke up.

I thought that I was the only one. I recently had a dream about a 1922 peace dollar. I'm not exactly sure what I doing with it or where I was in the dream. But I definitely remember holding it in my hands and looking at the date.

My coin related dreams are usually about finding a stash in an old abandoned shack or cellar hole.... Cheers, RickO

Yeah, mine are like that, too. I usually pinch myself in the dream, convincing my dreamself that it is real. It is so disappointing when I wake up - not the fact that I woke up, but that the coin find was all a dream ;-)

Henway, you better switch back to milk before bed. image

I have a casino dream once a month or so (coin related I suppose). Always hit a huge jackpot and wake up empty handed.

Most of my coin dreams are pleasurable, but last night's story was a nightmare. I dreamed that I "loaned" some certified coins to a deceased family member. When I came back to get them they had all been cracked out their holders and some of them were missing. I got up and went back to sleep. I ended up in the same spot except now all of the coins were missing.

I may have been thinking of a deceased family member who borrowed some model trains from my father and his brother. When we tried to get them back, we found out that this family member had sold them all and pocketed the money. Needless to say my father and uncle were not happy.

I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

I don't have to dream, my wife is plenty good looking.

No, she's not watching me type this over my shoulder. image >>
