Texas Dealers- Assistance Needed Questionable Coin Transaction

Task Force Requests Assistance

A Wisconsin Drug Task Force has requested the assistance of the Numismatic Crime Information Center in reference to the seizure of several slabbed NGC coins. The coins were shipped from Houston, Texas to a Pawn shop owner in Milwaukee, WI. Investigator's are trying to determine if the coins are stolen.

3009260-012 1892-S AU50

3782358-005 1926 $10 Indian MS62

3555886-001 1997 W. Robinson $5 PF69 Ultra Cameo

1208321-003 1986 Eagle G $10 MS69

3668283-031 1986 Eagle G $10 MS69

Several additional $10 Eagles along with a 1994 W World Cup $5 PF70 and a 1995W Olympic $5 PF70 were included in the transaction.

While the "why" might prove entertaining (I'm interested) the important question remains. . . Are they hot?

There certainly must be more to this story as it is obviously not a crime to ship coins from Texas to Wisconsin.

drug police came up on some loot and are either going to use the loot to hang a few more charges on someone or if they are not stolen, add the coins to their own departmental stack
