Coin Photography

Anyone here have any advice for high quality coin photograph? I have been using a scanner at 600 DPI, but the quality and sharpness does not seem to be there. If I try to crank the resolution up, it says it cannot perform the task because I do not have enough Virtual Memory.

So, in short, what is the best way to take some nice, quality photos that allow me to see mint marks, details, and errors clearly? I would prefer not to use some kind of image editing program because I want the coin to have its natural look, not an artifical one.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Do a search on this Forum or the Registry Forum. There have been several good threads on the subject.
