Show us your "improved" cards

A post by SoonerCowboy yesterday prompted me to look through the stack of junkers I still have from my childhood. Among them were these beauties that my friends and I made our marks on. Though it's hard to see in the scan, the Hines card has a bite mark--I don't know whose--in the upper right. The Giants stamp album has spit on it. I still remember this: my friend pulled it from a pack, and before I could tell him it was the last one I needed, he'd spit on it and thrown it on the ground. I evidently never did get one of my own, so it's a good thing I grabbed it.

I am sure everyone has the card where they wrote the new team the player was on. I went a step further....
I do not have this card anymore...but I changed a 1969T Richie Petibone card into a Bobby Douglass card. Petibone was gone from the Bears and I did not have a Douglass card so I changed the 17 on Richie's jersey to a 10 and scratched out his name and wrote Bobby Douglass.

DOWNTOWN ... I bet that some grading companies would even slab that Douglass as "AUTHENTIC". LOL

This was mine a few months ago. There is a story behind it that I will not go into. This is an authentic Mantle. Apparently, so kid colored the background back years ago.
